A Hinsdale doctor and his Lombard-based surgical center have been ordered to pay more than $750,000 to the United States to settle a lawsuit accusing them of submitting fraudulent claims to Medicare and a federal employee health program. The suit claims that 75-year-old doctor John Greager II, of Hinsdale, purposefully removed moles from patients on the same day and then fraudulently submitted them as having been removed during different days to maximize reimbursements and putting possible cancer patients at further risk, according to news releases on the case.
